DepicT: Initial Planning

For this planning I had come up with a few different ideas on what the Short 90 second movie could possibly be about.

Idea 1
My first idea was if something or someone was to be taken. It would be about the mystery of being able to find it and how it had come to have been taken in the first place. I was not overly keen on this idea I did not feel that it was very exciting. Therefore I did not choose my first idea.

Idea 2
My second idea was to be able to seek revenge after someone's death, using war, fighting and angry scenes. However I had thought that maybe there would be a little too much anger in such a short amount of time.

Idea 3
My next idea was the possession of an object. Maybe seeing a death of someone and as they die they curse an object, and for the 90 seconds we would see the life of this possessed object. The way that it moves, the way that others would react around it.

Idea 4
The next one I had the idea of maybe something heart-warming. With it starting off with a random person going to the aid of a poor person and seeing how their life is being transformed.

Idea 5
Another idea is of someone getting magical powers and seeing them learn to perfect how to use them. I thought of the idea of how the objects could go flying across the room, but I was not very sure on how this was to be done

Idea 6
My last idea was to get different camera angle of a few various different amounts of people faces to a reaction of a question. I felt that maybe people faces would be very similar and thought that maybe it was not going to be one of my strongest ideas.

Then I had to choose one of these ideas to pitch to my group... I had chosen someone losing a loved one and this person being so angry that he manages to change the weather to a freak storm. This would be where he would have gain super powers. We would then see how much he is trying to bring back his loved one.

The overall group decision is that we can have a horror movie noir. We would take the black and white, the dark blind scenes over the faces, the music and put it to a murder detective short movie. We plan to have a detective, a few victims and a murderer who goes on a killing spree.
